Blocks still rock…and so does 4-wheeling!

I haven’t had time to play with blocks lately…until today. I decided to show the world that I still enjoy playing with blocks. The topic for Illustration Friday is “play,” so maybe I’ll illustrate myself playing with blocks…hummm….by jingo, it may just work?!

My family had a mini reunion this last weekend and was able to spend time with my 3 nieces who live in Kansas. They are between 3-8yrs old. On their drive back home my sister asked them what their favorite part of the trips was, and they said going 4-wheeling with Uncle Nathan…yep, I am cooooool!

It seems that I am not the only one that uses blocks to release aggressive feelings. My co-worker showed me this picture of his son’s block creation. It’s refreshing to see other young inspiring minds and hands at work playing with blocks.

Worked on another tower. I think playing with blocks is a therapy for me. Sometimes being in front of a computer screen can become really draining, so blocks allow me the opportunity to relax and create without a screen, mouse or keyboard!
